Asian décor generally seems to have increased in popularity in Western countries over recent years. That may be my imagination, and I am slightly biased as I moved to Asia a decade ago. However, such a trend is easy to understand. Asian countries tend to be rich in history and culture going back thousands of years, and this is reflected in the arts and design, including home décor.

Asian bathroom décor is distinctive in style, even though the precise style may vary greatly depending on its origins. However, because Asian décor is so different from normal American and Western décor, you do have to be careful how you use it if you want to blend with existing décor. Ideally, if you want to have a full blown Asian bathroom theme, you want to start with an empty bathroom and design from scratch.
